We know it’s quite some time off, but if you need a reason to head Northwards later this year and have never visited Aberdeen before, maybe this could help you decide.

The British Science Festival will be running from September 4th – 9th and has a programme packed with various events sure to entertain those of all ages. The festival is being hosted by the renowned University Of Aberdeen, and while in the ‘Granite City’ there will be many other summer events taking place to compliment your stay.

You can find out much more about the science festival on the official site here.

The offshore oil industry surrounding Aberdeen and the regular workers arriving and departing the city ensures that there is a healthy accommodation industry, and competition helps drive down prices. This gives you plenty of affordable Aberdeen hotels to choose from. Standards across the city are generally very high.
